How can I consider the ground that passes beneath me?

Look where you are going as you go there. As you go there in the present moment, think of the others who have walked here before you. Think of those who will walk after. What has taken place here? What will take place here? What other journeys will take place here? Whose footsteps am I inadvertently following – or tromping over?
